Project Manager
Climate Risk Analysis

Multiple Positions Available Sydney & Adelaide

XDI provides physical climate risk analysis to business, government and financial institutions world-wide. Our quantitative analysis helps organisations make informed decisions regarding climate impacts to their operations and to plan adaptation actions. XDI works with sister companies Climate Risk and Climate Valuation to deliver these services.

As a result of recent growth, we are currently expanding our team of Project Managers. As Project Manager at XDI you will be responsible for driving the delivery of projects for clients in infrastructure, finance and government both locally and internationally, and contributing to our mission to shift the dial on climate change in corporate action. You will need to take ownership of significant client relationships, working collaboratively across the organisation to deliver outstanding insights and value to our customers and help expand participation in our major projects.

You will work closely with data analysts and the science and technology team to deliver project outputs, and closely with clients in turn to ensure their needs are met, or to deepen engagement for further solutions to complex problems. You will require a sound technical understanding of XDI technology and excellent communication skills to manage external and internal relationships.

We are a values-based organisation and recruit accordingly. Your professional or voluntary experience in climate change, social justice issues or environmental activism will count toward your successful engagement.

The Role:

  • Take a lead role in delivery of project outputs for large and small clients
  • Develop and maintain long term client relationships to support business growth
  • Deepen client engagement to help create risk awareness in the client, in order to drive expansive solutions to complex problems in climate risk analysis
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure high quality technical and communication outputs that satisfy customer needs
  • To supervise and direct the work of data analysts towards meeting customer needs
  • Maintain detailed, transparent project management systems that capture project requirements and ensure timely delivery
  • To facilitate the onboarding of new clients and the training of existing ones.
  • To develop and deliver reseller training programs, in support of the organisation’s expansion into new markets in Australia and overseas

Head of Europe, XDI Systems
Senior Management position

Full-time position 

Location: Europe (exact location dependent on candidate)

XDI’s European client base has grown rapidly over the last year through a network of resellers and in direct relationships with clients. We now need an outstanding leader on the ground to establish a European office and further expand our reach and influence. 

Initially the focus will be on growing revenue and strengthening relationships with new and existing clients. As the scale of the region grows, the position will transition to business development and influence in policy and regulation.

Project Manager, XDI Europe

Full-time position
Location: Europe with flexibility to overlap with Sydney

Communications Project Manager

Contract Position

 

  • 7 -10 years experience
  • 4 month contract August – Nov 2022 with possibility of extension
  • 3 days per week
  • Based in Sydney or Newcastle
  • Fixed price contract, negotiable rate depending on experience
  • Starts immediately

An exciting opportunity exists for a Communications Project Manager to work with XDI on two upcoming data releases to be announced at New York Climate Week (end Sept 2022) and COP 27 (early Nov 2022).  You will have a strong working knowledge of campaign design and implementation and an opportunity to develop communications strategy for our group between now and the end of 2022, with a possibility to extend beyond that time.

Key Responsibilities

Working with Head of Impact and Comms Director:

  • Design and implement a cohesive comms campaign to support the release and announcement of the above projects
  • Develop content strategy around these projects utilising following channels: XDI insights or blogs pages, OpEds, Climatica generated webinars, industry events, advertorial, earned media,
  • Develop and produce key collateral namely website pages, insights and commentary pieces, and supporting material for distribution to media and commercial stakeholders
  • Liaise with specific US and UK resellers to represent XDI comms and coordinate opportunities for announcements
  • Coordination of comms-related outputs including media releases, EDMs
  • Contribute to Messaging and Insights page content
  • Support Long lead media outreach and short-lead press release distribution and follow-up
  • Liaise with Head of Sales and Marketing, XDI to coordinate content placement and campaign design

Comms and Campaign Assistant
Short term contract

5 month contract August – December with possibility of extension

Location: Newcastle Or Sydney 
Salary: Hourly rate
Reports To: Head of Impact

Our group is growing rapidly and needs an experienced comms or campaign coordinator to support the delivery of two key projects to be released at New York Climate Week and COP27, and to provide general support to other initiatives in Climatica’s impact and comms work.

Reporting to Head of Impact Georgina Woods, and working closely with the Comms Manager this position can be in Newcastle or Sydney, with some travel to Newcastle involved. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting, editing and production of comms materials including media releases, EDMs, website and social media content
  • Contribute to development of messaging and framing
  • Assist in long-lead media outreach and short-lead press release distribution and follow-up
  • Campaign research, and general support to Head of Impact

Strong written and verbal communication skills, minimum 3 years experience essential.

Marketing Manager

Location: Adelaide, Newcastle Or Sydney 

Reports To: Head of Marketing and Sales, XDI

We’re seeking an experienced and driven B2B Digital Marketing Manager who wants to make a difference to climate change action globally.  

Working closely with the communications department and XDI’s Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be developing and implementing integrated marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, conversion and retention.  This hands on role will work collaboratively with Head of Marketing and Sales and the Communications Director to deliver a digital marketing strategy in line with the business goals of the organisation.  A key focus will be to accelerate our expansion into international markets in UK, Europe and North America. You will need to enjoy working in a collaborative and consultative way with our team, which works across three offices in Australia.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective data driven marketing and digital media strategies that deliver the organisations strategic objectives globally
  • Develop segmentation, acquisition, and retargeting strategies to optimise the effectiveness of digital campaigns in line with our core communications calendar and tactical initiatives
  • Analyse the outcomes of these activities and provide insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Working with the communications team, identify and plan content marketing strategies to enhance our strategic positioning, including participation in industry events and owned digital events such as webinars and panel discussions
  • Prepare or supervise the preparation of a wide range of sales, marketing and digital media collateral for specific sectors, such as infrastructure, finance, government, academic and service providers.
